Megan Shepherd Banigan PhD

Dr. Hung is a Research Health Scientist with Durham VA Health Services Research & Development. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine and Core Faculty with Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy. As a pharmacist and health services researcher, she is interested in payer decision making around drug formulary coverage and patient understanding of their prescription insurance benefits. Her methodological interests include healthcare cost evaluations, quasi-experimental study designs, and stated preference research. Dr. Hung's CDA work focuses on developing a decision aid to help Part D-enrolled Veterans navigate between their prescription insurance benefits.

Dr. Hung received her Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Maryland. After graduation, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Duke Clinical Research Institute.

WHY VA?
