WHY VA?

Veterans are especially likely to deal with the behavioral and mental health issues I am interested in addressing, and especially vulnerable to the negative consequences of them. Additionally, as the largest integrated health system in the country, the VA is well-positioned to quickly implement research on these issues to provide an impact to real people as quickly as possible.
